Today, I had the privilege of speaking at the FAECARE Foundation’s Girls Rock Conference 5.0, themed “The Power of the Girl Child: A Future Without Limits.”
Engaging girls aged 5–15, I shared my GIRLS Framework, drawing lessons from three biblical characters: Dinah, Rhoda and the Hebrew slave girl in Naaman’s household.
Through their stories, I challenged the girls to understand that circumstances do not define us. We must know who we are and, more importantly, whose we are.
I introduced the GIRLS Framework:
G – Grounded and God-driven: Build your life on God, His Word and His principles.
I – Identity: Know who you are, understand your purpose and God’s plan for your life.
R – Raise your voice: Speak boldly, confidently and intelligently. Never underestimate the power of your voice.
L – Learn, Lead and Lift: Keep learning, develop yourself, lead with purpose and help others rise.
S – Stand Out: Dare to be different, uphold your values and make a positive difference.
Dinah’s story reminded us of the importance of discernment, wise choices and being conscious of our environments. We must not be everywhere, particularly in places that endanger our safety and well-being.
Rhoda demonstrated that even a young girl can be attentive, confident and significant. The Hebrew slave girl showed us that difficult circumstances cannot erase our identity or silence our ability to make an impact.
My message was simple: Dream without limits, but live with wisdom. Know your worth, protect your space and never allow your circumstances to determine your future.
I am grateful to FAECARE Foundation for creating this platform to inspire, empower and build the next generation of girls.
The future is not just something these girls will inherit; they have a responsibility to shape it!
