The African Women Mentoring and Inspiring Initiative (AWMII) was honoured to be invited to participate in the NESREA South-South engagement on the Effective Management of Chemicals in Nigeria.
Dr. Nissi Ikenna-Amadi, Executive Director of AWMII, was in attendance, representing the organisation and reaffirming our commitment to initiatives that promote healthier communities, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development.
Effective chemical management is essential to protecting human health, safeguarding our environment, and ensuring the well-being of present and future generations. It also highlights the importance of collaboration among government agencies, civil society organisations, communities, and other stakeholders in promoting safe and responsible chemical use.
At AWMII, we believe that empowering women and girls also means supporting the creation of safe, healthy, and sustainable environments in which they can thrive.
We appreciate NESREA for the invitation and for creating opportunities for stakeholders across the South-South region to engage on this important issue.
Together, we can build healthier communities and contribute to a safer, more sustainable Nigeria.
